Is there a work around with updating Flash Player for powerPC? Feel bad my kids G4 MDD cant be updated. The dual 1.42 still good enough for internet, I think. Any suggestions? Thanks

There is a Safari plugin that forces all flash content to be displayed as HTML5 (if html5 is available Not all flash based sites use it) Not sure if your G4 can display html5 or even if your safari allows plugins but it's one thing worth looking into

Default From searching a little

Which version of OS do you run? Here...
Quote:
You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. The latest version, 10.2.152.25 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_8...ninst,os=m10.6,

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

Here is a link to a hacked version 11 flash that will run on PPC Macs. I used it for a while before I updated my G4 to Leopard.
