npath tableworks upgrade quarkxpess 4 to 7

Hi,

Our company has used npath tableworks to create all our tables in quark 4. We need to convert all our tables to quark 7. What would be the easiest way to upgrade. Quark 7 has a nice feature that allows excel files to be imported into a table. We have been stuck in system 9 and in quarkxpress 4 because npath tableworks no longer exists.

Please help.

You may very well have to hire someone to write the code. The question is, how many others have needed to do this same move in the past? Is that a large enough group that anyone would have published an import utility? I haven't a clue, never used either application. I guess post enough requests like this on enough forums and you might find someone with a history.

I see this is an old thread...but wanted to add:

Quark 7 is ancient. I would be very concerned that you spend tons of time and/or money, and will be in the same boat again very soon. If I were in your shoes, I would want to move to the current version of Quark, InDesign, or something else, so you won't have to do do this again in the foreseeable future.

I don't know the future of Quark, but I would not be surprised if they ceased to exist. Been shrinking/losing market for a decade.
