Question hazkells G4 needs a new optical drive

Been awhile .... hope everyone is doing well!
My pioneer 1110 optical drive is on it's way out.
I can read disk ... just can't burn any ... makes a clicking noise when a disk is mounted.

I sure would hope that there's a solution not really interested in a external unit ... that may be the only solution.

    thanks, h

I know what you mean. I can't justify one yet I'd use it now and then...

I haven't seen any ATA drives being made any longer.

A PCI SATA card and a new optical would work, no?
