Default Kernel panic s bugging me!

This one is a real cow to sort out.
I'm not great at reading crash logs so I need some help with this!

THe problem is a 27" iMac, 2011, that suffers from kernel panics.
I had it here for five days, testing the CPU, ram and hard drive. It didn't fall over once!
It goes back to the client with a clean bill of health and after 4 hours it has a panic attack!

I need to know what to look for and then what to do about it, so advise away gents!

This is the note from the client:

At the top of every crash report, the Samba driver is listed before the AppleKit ones.I have a NAS and a Windows PC on the network. Might try unplugging them. Any easy way to disable Samba, system wide?

Had a flick through console. Found entry for it writing the panic log, but events before it seems to be gibberish.

    Here is the panic log

Every panic I ever had was from a hardware item.. bad USB device usually. Sometimes FW 400.. ask the client everything he's plugging into it when he gets it home

We've come to the conclusion that it is something external that is causing the problem and he's going to disconnect things one by one. I asked him to do it the other way around.
I was hoping someone would be able to look at the crash log and give me some info from that.

Personally, I've never had a kernel panic from anything other than hard drive, graphics card or memory.
I've had freezes and general buggering around from USB devices but never a KP.

Ha! It now looks like it was a double connection, wired and WIFI, to his NAS box that was making it keel over! No idea why he had WIFI on when he was permanently wired gigabit to the network.
Since turning off the WIFI it's not crashed at all.

    Thumbs up

Good to know. I do remember some KP issues regarding SMB reported over at MacWindows, but never seen them myself, nor could I find any specifics to point you to, outside of issues specific to Macs bound to AD.

    Nice work.

Had another iMac in today, 24" 2008, that has been giving out kernel panics.
I've had it on test for the last 12 hours and not had it fall over yet.
I've been running CPU Test and that's shown up 1 failure each time I've run it, but that's not been even semi-fatal.
    Weird stuff.
The customer doesn't have much attached to it so I don't think it's going to be anything other than an OS problem this time.
