    Confused Internet Card

We live in an area where there is no high speed internet. I've been told that a wireless internet card (such Verizon V740 card) will give me access where there is no service or WiFi. Is this so. Are there other cards. I have a Mac Laptop running Snow Leopard.

Yes, very possible. If you buy a USB 3G/4G modem, be sure it is Mac compatible (software is needed).

Or, better yet, you could look at a 3G/4G router, that would share one internet connection on all your wireless devices. How sexy would that be?

Just remember (either way) that you can eat up all your data allocation pretty quick, so pay attention to the data plan you pick, and its limitations.
