    Confused User desktop not functioning

    Hi All,
This is my first post here, so forgive me if I breach any protocols. I have a one year old i-mac (Intel 2.8Ghz). On one of the user desktops, the keyboard does not function, so it is inoperable. The keyboard is not wireless, so it's not a bluetooth issue, and the mouse, that is wireless works.

Is there any way to delete a user and re-create, or some other way to troubleshoot the problem?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Steve

Default Welcome to the Guru's Forums

Look in your systems Prefs --> Accounts --> and with the plus / minus boxes at the bottom left you can add/delete.

I'd add another Account or User and test it before deleting a current user -- you can do that later if needed.

Post back any questions. Other members/mods might have more ideas.

    Default User desktop not functioning

Thank you much. I should have thought of that, but it worked fine. Don't know why it did that. I get non functioning keyboard at log in at times, but reboot takes care of it

    Best regards,
    Steve

    Default One clarification

Does this happen with all users accounts or just the one user?
