    Default "sufficient privileges"

    Hello there.

    Something silly (and probably simple)...

Bought a tiny camera (to stick on my bike helmet). Tried a test film yesterday, fine, deleted it from the card, tried again today.

This time, same process, I get 'You can't delete this file because you have insufficient privileges'. Go to Command I, can't do anything with the Permissions there. I ran through the 'Mac Help' but it doesn't, help that is.

So, I seem to be stuck with an 8gb camera card which is going to get rapidly full of rubbish until it becomes unusable!

    Help!

How can I wipe the darned thing?

    Thanks.

I really must get out of the habit of answering my own posts.

I tried running disk utility on the thing, and it wouldn't verify, coming up with a (new to me) 'dirty'.

So I cleaned the tiddly card, cleaned the adapter (both Sandiscs, by the way, no old rubbish), and put it back in, and hey presto, it deletes.

The little suckers seem very sensitive to dust!

    Thanks for reading..

Yes to everything. Guilty as charged.

Mind you, it is an amazing bit of kit. About $16 for the camera, plus a microSD card and adapter (which you might already have if you've got fancy camera/phones.

So, having worked out the dirty bits, I stuck it on my bike helmet and rode round locally, and it really is very good - sound as well as vision. Just got to work my way round QuickTime Pro and I'll post snippets to the www. REALLY fascinating to watch north London pass by at about 7mph.
