Default How do I know what kind of PCI slot I have?

I need to find out what type of PCI slot my MacPro and MacBookPro have so I can tell my editor what kind of Firewire card to buy. At the moment it's not possible to open the case—how do I find out without opening the computers physically?

    Thank you!

Under the Apple, in the menu bar. About this Mac, hit the More Info button.. Post here what it says in the first four lines. It will name the Mac and give its model identifier. The fourth line is how fast the processor is. Post those and we can tell you anything you need to know.

The MacPro will have PCIe slots.

The MacBookPro has an Express34 slot.

Thank you very much! I believe the editor wants to install additional firewire ports. I'm not sure, I just needed to find out the slot type.
