    Default iMac G5 motherboard repair

    Came across this article, from a guy who had one of the infamous Imac G5s with leaky capacitors. He does a step by step guide on how to do your own replacement of said caps.

    He even lists the parts you need.

    I was impressed. Well done and almost no risk since you have a dead board anyway.

    Replacing caps is SOP for a lot of older audio gear. They all go bad eventually.

    Imagine changing out caps on a large format pro mixing console. An iMac is a walk in the park. Not many iMacs worth over $100K though.
