Default Separate OS and Users + Disk Warrior

    Hi Guys,

Is it OK to use Disk Warrior if I have set up my machine to run OS and Users on two separate drives?

I made a search but could not find an answer.

    Thanks,

    Francesco

I have heard that earlier versions of DW have trouble with it but that later versions do not have trouble. If you try make sure you are up to date. Oh and have a recent backup of your stuff..... good advice in ANY situation.

    I don't have DW and can't test

You still need to be booted from another disk drive.

It is just a disk utility. Moving users is not doing anything that would change the structure, but obviously it has to unmount the drives.

While DU can verify the boot drive, it can't handle or verify your separate users drive.

    Thank you Damien and TZ.

I am upgrading to DW 4.

I will boot from another drive for maintenance.

    Thanks for your replies.
