    Default Is SATA II backward compatible?

    Are SATA II drives backward compatible to work on an iMac Intel comp which has support for SATA I ?

    Pretty sure they are......Rick would know for sure.

    Are you ready to crack that beast open? Have you seen the take-apart instructions for the intel models?

    Nope. Looks like you have it covered. Just wanted to be sure you didn't get your wires crossed and think the Intel iMacs came apart like the early G5 imacs.....

    Those are the easiest iMacs ever made to get into, and, well, you would be in for a big surprise if that was what you expected.
