    Default G3 ibook RAM

Did anyone make a 1 gig stick of RAM that would work in a G3 ibook ?

I don't believe the memory controller can see high density chips. Same as all the other G3s that Apple shipped. I don't believe the iBooks can see both sides of the module.

    Default hmmm...

    Rats.

Now, I wonder if it would be possible to remove the soldered 128 Megs on the mobo and replace with 256. My theory is that the 4 chips on the board are 1 bank, and since it can take a stick of 512, it ought to be able to read 256 on the board.

    Just plain guessing, really.
