Arrow WTT My Graphite for your Keylime Clamshell iBook

I've obtained a graphite iBook 466 FireWire, and want to trade it for a Key Lime version. My autistic son responds better to bright colors.

    - iBook G3 Graphite Paris Release (Fall 2000)
    - 20G HD, but I'd take a smaller one to get Key Lime
    - Keep any add-in RAM or take the 64MB built-in+128MB module.

I hope there's someone out there with a flagrant green 'book who wishes they had bought the more subtle graphite version.

    Thanks

    Hey -

Shoot me an email when you get a free minute. Off topic. My current address is listed (been cleaning out a few old ones).

    Sorry, no green computers here.

    Lightbulb Refurbished iMac G3s

A few months ago Thom bought and reviewed an iMac G3 333 Mhz while it was running Mac OS 9. I was always fond of the looks of the classic iMacs. They were just too cute to not want one.

Recently Geeks.com restocked their Mac line with refurbished iMac G3s. They sent us one in, a 400 Mhz DV model (first released in October 1999) and we tried out not only Mac OS 9.2.2 but also the latest Mac OS X, v10.4.7. Read more as to how this old good classic iMac G3 performed.

I only have a Blue Clamshell (same color as the B&W G3s) with 40GB Samsung HD and new battery.

Nicholas, did you crack the case and install the 40GB drive yourself?

Yep, installed it by myself. Took 2.5 hours cuz I never opened this thing before but with a good manual no problemo at all.

Unfortunately, It sounds like you're describing a BlueBerry iBook. I need FireWire target disk mode (TDM). Only the SE (indigo, Key Lime, and Graphite) do TDMthat IIRC.
