    Default RAM for G4 iBook

    Hiya,

This cat I know has an older G4 iBook (it appears to have a white-ish plastic case).

He'd like to max it out RAM-wise. I looked at the RAM page and wasn't sure what kind of RAM it would take...these seemed like the likely choices:

    PC133 144pin SO-DIMM
    256 MB PC133 144pin SO-DIMM 256TI133
    512 MB PC133 144pin SO-DIMM 512TI133

    PC2100 DDR 200 pin SO-DIMM
    PC2700 DDR 200 pin SO-DIMM
    256 MB PC2700 DDR SO-DIMM 256DDR2700SO
    512 MB PC2700 DDR SO-DIMM 512DDR2700SO
    1 GB PC2700 DDR SO-DIMM 1GDDR2700SO

    Any and all suggestions appreciated!

    Thanks!

Would help to know if it is 12" screen (only one RAM slot can be upgraded) and cpu speed might also help make sure when SODIMM it uses.

That iBook has one user accessible slot and can take up to a single 1 GB PC2700 SO-DIMM for a grand total of 1.5 GB of memory.

That is the most recent iBook and both it and the 1.3 GHz 12 inch use the same memory configuration.
