... and find a functional DA for under $200?

I've said it a couple times. I wish there was now a requirement of the output of Apple System Profiler and maybe if Apple Hardware Test. cut through the story to the basics.

yes. An 867 Mhz. It's the 2MB cahce version. Also has the wire hooked up to the the fourth hole + a quicksilver heatsink to go with it but it doesn't have the fan or shroud.

For my testing purposes I reinstalled the orginal 466 chip just to be as standard as posbbile.

It strikes me you guys are paying too much for your hardware.

That the 867 is probably a little different than the 466 and you may have harmed your computer.

Voltages, etc. I'll leave the technical issues for someone with better knowledge than myself. - Randy

both the QS and the DA are 133 machines so the only mod needed is to run a 12 Volt Power Connector for 4th Mount Point

It ran perfectly happily until the recent incident

There are plenty of accounts of this set up the xlr8yourmac.com database.

I don't touch ebay. And systems often (I've been told) go for more than any sane Mac user would pay. As long as it works, go for it.
