    Default Simple SATA upgrade?

Just had the original HD fail on my 1Ghz G4. I had /users on it, and everything else on a 120Gb Maxtor. Think I might use this as a excuse to go to SATA. Wondering if this makes sense....

Add 1S2 card and 2 SATA drives (probably Seagates), to split /users and everything else. Then use the 120Gb Maxtor to maintain bootable backup of everything using Dantz.

Are there any power concerns with this many drives in the case?

    Lightbulb

If you have an MDD, four drives, two on each bus, are easily supported. If QS, then three. Serial ATA would let you use three drives, each on their own channel, for best performance.
