Does one have an idea what I might do to get my AIO 5500/225 Mac to fire up the TV/Video Card I just installed? I put both the card and the tuner in and loaded the software.

When I click the ikon to fire it up the Apple Video player, it pops up a dialog box that indicates it can find the any hardware for the video software.

    All-in-One 5500/225 96MG RAM, 2GB HD, and ethernet. I'm running OS 8.6

Can you give us a link to the TV/Video Card to see what it is? Is it fully seated and level in the slot? Is it 8.6 compatible? k

Make sure you have the most recent version - you'll have to dig thru the Apple archives in their download section. It's somewhat compatible with OS 8.6 - but you can only use 256 color (not thousands or millions). I had one installed on a 6500, it was a picky upgrade. It only worked with the onboard video too.

You have to run the video out of the on-board connector.

I had this same problem in a PM6500, trying to run the video out of a Rage 128 that was in the PCI slot.
