    Unhappy broken round imac mouse

I have a five year old imac with the round mouse. The button no longer seems to be working. It still moves the cursor around, but the mouse button no longer clicks. Anyway to repair this, or should I just pitch it? If I pitch it, any recommendations for a replacement?

    Thanks!

Get a two button scroll mouse. We always called those little round things bad names like 'hockey puck' and 'li'l useless'. I like the newer Logitech optical mice. They work pretty good on most surfaces and are really convenient with the scroll wheel and second button. I couldn't live without either any longer.

Almost any USB mouse will work. We buy 'em by the dozen at work, and have been happy with the entry level models optical 2 button/scroll mice from Logitec, Kensington, and Macally. If you shop around, as cheap as about $15 bucks. Something like this.

If you are running OS 10, you don't even need the drivers to use the scoll wheel and right click button - plug and play. The software included gives more features usually, but most users never miss it....
