Fibre Channel? U160 dual channel SCSI is about as fast (maybe not as felible form a distance point of view, but hey - thats SCSI) at 320MB/s (2560Mbps). I wonder if you could multi-plex two U160 dual channels for a 4 channel RAID?

Firewire is looking better every day - its only 400Mbps, but then you can go 3 channel for 1200Mbps or about 100MB/s sustaind read (real world - maybe even in the finder?) and 60MB/s sustained writes. Not sure it could could add any more channels and see a significant gain, but hey it new.

Any word on Initio and X?... I'm turning blue
