Thread: iMac only OS 8.1 version

    I recently purchased a "Box O' Mac stuff" at a garage sale. In the box was the disc set that originally came with an earlier iMac. I tried loading it on a PPC 7100, but it will not load. Is there any way around the OS looking for an iMac?

    None at all. The disks were configured exclusively for the iMac hardware. You would need the Retail version of MacOS for your 7100.
