Update: I have a shelf full of drives, three computers, what I need is more of a Network Storage box.

I inadvertently crossed cables in the morning so one drive wasn't terminated. As soon as I saw what I had done, I was able to get back up.

However, as 'safe' as CCC is, the underlying ditto routine etc are able to mess things up, and I heard back from Mike Bombich that the three reports of trouble were all somewhat hardware related.

I just noticed that ATTO has some updates that I

Had not heard of, even though they send me some notices.

Had just checked over the weekend. http://www.attotech.com/software/app1.php3

    Here's the readme:
    quote:

ATTO ExpressPCI Configuration Tool Read Me Notes 7/3/2002

    * Mac OS X version 10.1.4 and Mac OS X Java update v1.3.1 are required for proper operation. Please verify that you are using both of these components on your system. Use the Software Update application on your system to download and install the latest versions, if necessary.

    * This application currently supports the following ExpressPCI host adapters: FCSW, FC 2600, FC 3300, FC 3305, UL4D and UL4S.

There is Express-Tools Pro 2.8.1 which is first I've seen of that.

    Gregory,

?ATTO doesn't seem to be sending those notices out any more. I USED to get them also. Now I'll have to check out what you found. Thanks so very much for posting these many tidbits of useful info that you dig up. You are an irreplaceable asset!

    Rick

I also send you a good luck in fixing your florfed drives.
