How does one (me) get rid of a non Apple driver (APS v6.something) on an old Seagate Bar. 2G drive......(I have the APS software and Drive Setup)? (you know the drive is "not supported" ........)

It is always possible that even then Drive Setup (2.07) won't support it. But the easiest way is to download the free ATTO ExpressTools (2.81) from www.attotech.com in their software download utility area, then Erase the drive.

Where and why isn't the old MacGuru SCSI Pages up with a Step-by-Step or FAQ?

It's easy enough, but I wouldn't leave the ATTO driver. My choice is Drive Setup, then HDST 3.5, or SoftRAID 2.2.2. OS X 10.2 is also good at formatting drives.
