    I have an internal scsii, 12x4x32 in a PowerCenter 150 OS 8.6, and XLR8 G3@333mhz. I'm using Toast 3.5.7 and FWB CD-ROM Toolkit 4.01b.
The computer and the software all recognize the drive (at ID3), & Toast can tell me what kind of media I have inserted (CD-R or CD-RW), but the discs don't mount either thru Toast or the Toolkit. I have tried Toast with no other extensions, but it still doesn't work. I have recorded on the CD-rw supplied with the drive, and I seem to have no problem reading CD-ROms or CD-Rs.
    What gives?

    Try InTech's CD/DVD SpeedTools 5.7 free demo here http://www.macgurus.com/shoppingcart...hsoftware.html .

    I like the Speed Tools.
But much of this may have been a false alarm; I didn't realize that blank CDs (R or RW) don't display an icon on the desktop. I just went ahead and recorded and it worked fine.
    Thanks for the help.

Yep; it's gotta have data on it.
