    how can view old mac files saved on floppys from a mac se or performa? my blue and white g3 keeps telling me to initialize the disks.

    Which USB floppy are you using? what did you format them with? which operating system on your B&W? Do you have File Exchange extension set installed and enabled? by old floppy, are they 1440k or DD 720k?

    I assume you have your SE and it was/is running OS 7.5.x? if you have an UltraSCSI or even FastSCI card in your B&W you might pull the hdd out of the SE/30, or the ATA drive in the Performa, and mount it in your B&W.

    I never used USB floppy once I got B&W. I did put Zip 250MB ATAPI in but almost never used that either - useful for emergency boot drive.
