I have a G4/400 AGP w/ GeForce4 MX 32MB vid card, 1.2GB RAM, hooked up to a PC monitor. I got an apple converter to hook the VGA monitor up to the GeForce card and it works great in OS 10.2.5 and great in Classic mode as well. However, when I boot from my OS 9.2.1 start-up disk the monitor will ONLY display 640X480 60HZ 256 colors. Seems like I could just use Classic mode under OS X but my most used application (Digital Performer 2.7.2) will not run in classic mode. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, -TOM.

Hmm, I don't think Mac OS 9.2.1 has drivers for the GeForce4MX built in. Have you tried getting all the updates (or updating to 9.2.2) to see if that will help?

Go to the Apple website and search for nvidea. There si an Apple driver that will work with the card in 9.2.2 (I believe it is v 3.01).

If all else fails, download and install SwitchRes. This is a little utility that will let you exploit all resolutions that your video card and monitor can agree on.
