If it was a 120, it has a IMS (ixmicro)Twin Turbo OEM in it, if I remember right. If it was a 132, it has whatever somebody put in it; they had no OEM video card.

Well if you have the 9500 you can run the Apple System Profiler and it should tell you what the video card is.
ixMicro was popular during the 9500 era. We even had a RASTER OPS video card (massive 12") in a 9500. I do not think it was stock and it was an unstable system. Turns out the RASTER OPS card was bad - so we put an ixMicro ix3D card in there.

Some of these cards have both Mac & VGA connectors, but I think most of the OEM systems were only the Mac (old) style connectors. I remember a friend of mine has a 9500/200 and it came with an ixM 4MB TT - the $40 ix3D is a bit faster.

it will either be an ATI MACh64, or an ixMicro Twin Turbo.

either is woefully obsolete and slow. At this point, you can search eBay for a Rage 128 (recommended), or break-down and surrender to the inevitability of a Radeon in your life.

Just pulled an ixMicro Twin Turbo out of my 9500/120. It has both Mac & VGA connectors. My 19" monitor didn't agree with the VGA port though - but it does agree with the V5 5500.

if memory serves (and remember, I am fatter and stupider every day ), any Apple-ROM'd card in that machine will have an Apple interface. You generally only got SVGA when you purchased the third-party or OEM version of the ixM (then known as IMS) card. The Mach64 only came w an Apple connector, I believe.

    sorry--getting old.

I've found that IMS/IxMicro cards tend to work more reliably if a universal adapter is used in the Mac port rather than connecting directly to the SVGA port. The card more readily sees the proper monitor that way.
