My log Quicksilver is running out of steam. It's become the little engine that can't.

Going to invest In a newer intel G5, or Mac Pro soon. Would you please post your opinion as to what you'd replace with?

Don't really have an opinion on older Macs, most of them worked perfectly in their time. G5's had some issues, like some of them were water cooled CPUs and they always eventually leak. A G5 is not Intel based, the MacPro is where that started. I would probably go MacPro today and drop running any of the older PowerPC stuff. Early MacPros are very inexpensive and common today and just seem to keep right on running year after year after year..

Some of the G5 towers were finicky later in life, but I can't tell you which ones. I would lean towards later models, but never a liquid cooled one.

Better still, would be an early Intel Mac Pro.

I would agree, that's 3 for 3.
