I have been playing Skyrim booted through bootcamp to Windows 7 on my 2010 MacPro. It plays perfectly on high graphics settings - absolutely incredible detail.. Spent some time tweaking the graphics drivers to get the most out of the AMD/ATI 5870 graphics card. But the results have been much better than I figured I would achieve.

My son has been knee deep in Battlefield3 - when he can get the computer out of my greedy control. Battlefield also plays well on the MacPro. I am completely amazed. I didn't think I could get the types of performance from a Mac that these games take.

Skyrim was my Xmas gift from my honey. What a spectacular work of art. Bethesda did a monumental job on it.

It's been a long time for me too. I need a good game I don't need to be pushing 2 or 3 buttons while I'm doing a flip... :o just not enough finger use.

I keep thinking a good fly game... I remember a very old fly game... 1 button for bullets, space for bombs and simple. I remember there were 2 land bases and 1 aircraft carrier. This might have been on a Commodore 64 or my Mac Performa.

Simply stunning. Your kid is gonna be hard core.

I am playing World of Tanks in BootCamp on an iMac. Plays nice, even on a low end machine.

Back when I first bought this MacPro, in spring of 2011, I looked for a PC game to test it. Settled on Oblivion, which is one version previous to Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls series. Literally spent more than a year playing that one RPG - and still never came close to 'finishing' it. If there is such a thing as finishing one of the Elder Scroll adventures. The games are very engrossing with no end to the quests and character building adventures. But the graphics are an order of magnitude more in Skyrim. I didn't think I would be able to even play it on the MacPro. But no problem at all.
