A query regarding the usage of CS2 apps on the Intel Core 2 Duo..
Can we not run CS2 under Boot Camp and thus make it a WIN based app until Adobe get their shit together and release CS3? (of course assuming that we have a copy of CS2 for Windows as well)
This upgrade from Apple to run CS2 under Intel MACS is efficient or just a stop gap from Apple?

Thanx

CS2 is working on Intel based Macs with the help of Rosetta (inegrated in 10.4):)
It is a bit slower but I guess most can live with that for now.

Better Adobe is waiting till CS3 is running smooth on Intel AND PPC Macs not like Quark7 which is aweful optimized for PPC-Macs.

Performance of CS2 on Intel got noticably better with the Mac OS 10.4.8 update.

Performance is still not as fast under Rosetta but not horrible either when enough RAM is installed- "4-6GB" or more.

Currently, there are several CS bugs on Intel- one is in Illustrator, the other in InDesign but there are documented workarounds.

The problem with running them under Windows is the 2GB addressable RAM limit. At least under Rosetta you can still give Photoshop a ton of RAM to work with which really helps performance. Also Bootcamp sticks itself on the slower inner tracks of a hard drive.

I've read from those who have actually tried it performance of PS CS2 is slower under Bootcamp than Intel Mac OSX.
