I"m getting ready to bid on a DVD movie on eBay.
This would be my first time of ever buying a DVD moive.
What I need to know is ...... can I play this on my computer with my Pioneer 111D burner?

I'm not planning on waisting any hours on the burner for this purpose, but this would probable be the first and only time!
The DVD is from 1996.

Just would like to see what it looks like on my monitor!
Is there anything I should KNOW first?

thanks, h

It'll play just fine as long as it's even a passable job of digitization, it'll look a zillion times better than your TV can dream of. Only thing to be aware of is the first time you throw a video DVD into your new drive and fire up DVD Player, it should say your drive's region isn't set and ask if you want to set it. Say yes, and you're on your way.

All my DVD viewing is done on my computers now, and has been for several years. I find televisions a waste of my time for image quality.

Thanks man, I'll pick one up !
Pretty much thought there shouldn't have been any problems.
Just thought I'd double check.
