View Full Version : Seperate swap drive vs. OS/Swap RAID 0

I've read through the various posts concerning swap optimizaiton, and I THINK that I have a sense of the answer to this question, but I havn't seen this addressed specifically, so I'll ask:

Given that all User data will reside on a seperate RAID array, what would be the best use of 2 additonal SATA drives:

- One dedicated for OS/Applications with a seperate dedicated PS swap drive

- A shared OS / Swap drive consisting of 2 SATA drives striped as RAID 0

Discuss amongst yourselves...
