Gimp.app 2.0.3-1

by: Aaron Voisine

Editor Notes:
At this time Gimp.app is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. However, in anticipation that it will be in the near future, the preview release of Apple's X11 for 10.2 Jaguar can be downloaded
here (http://a1408.g.akamai.net/7/1408/1388/20030317/akamai.info.apple.com/X11/us/user/061-0491.20030317.Se4rG/X11UserForMacOSX.dmg.bin)

Gimp.app is a self contained appication bundle of the GNU Image Manipulation Program for Mac OS X. It requires Apple's X11. Gimp.app is droppable, uses the gimp-print package built into OS X, and uses the system's default web browser for help and web browsing requests.

Review by Anonymous:

: The GIMP package is a killer application - it gives you all the power functionality of the high end graphics apps like PS and a steep learning curve for accompaniment. Any PhotoShop user can use this program and anybody just wanting to explore may as well start here and never touch a bloated $xxx package.

fonts and Aqua make a huge difference - this is clearly the one to go for.

Runs much quicker than any other Pro App on older hardware - my Pismo 500 under 10.3.3 suddenly got my interest back! (4/16/2004, Version: 2.0.0-5)
