please help a complete newbie!!!

Oh-kay I`m trying to get some help...and I`ve been lookin for about 7 hours now.
I`m trying to run an snes emulator on my mac I have all the stuff I need like game sprockets And carbon lib so when I want to play a rom I load up snes9x I got to the emulation toolbar but my rom is in this format "zelda3.zip" do I need a rom specified for macintosh decompression software (stuffit expander?)I have stuff it....Do I use winzip?I can`t find a mac winzip hence the "win".Do I need a differentrom what do I do.any experts help me,please be specific I went to the snes9x site and they didn`t help.....please help a newbie....

First, do you have the latest here for Snes9x http://emulation.net/snes/ at least the first three, or four for net play.

I don't know anything about this emulation, never even heard of it, but Stuffit Expander should be able to expand zip files. I routinely download zip files which it handles for a game I play that uses certain files that are cross platform. Hope something here helps. k

I believe that SNES9x uses the zip file itself and no unzipping is neccessary.
