Hi
Has anyone used more than one ATTO card, with like 8 X15's or more?

Magician, did you use two cards for your 8 drive test in the ftp site?

Thanks

He used a dual Channel Atto SCSI 3 card in the Sawtooth. No need for 2 cards.

Imagine 4 channels SCSI 3 in a 6 PCI slot Bluetooth with 2 x15 Cheetahs on each channel!!

I'll settle down now.

S,

In a PTP I used two ATTO UL3D's each driving two X15's. In the PTP, not as fast as two Miles2 running the same drives. I have two other drives in the box, a CD-ROM drive, Zip, floppy drive. No more room or money for more X15's. And no more room for SCSI cabling. Bulging as it is. k

the 8-drive tests on the FTP site were with a single UL3D, bus duplexed, four drives per channel.

I have not used dual UL3D's in any machines. My feeling is the PCI bus is close to saturation with X15's anyway. It might be something to do on a rainy day.

Hi
thanks for the responses. If you want to see some neat stuff on the ATTO card
used in pc's have a look at storagereview.com ATTO is SCSI RAID king!

It really shows how important the right mobo is, and how fast this card and 4 X15's can be.

Thanks for the help.
