Seagate introduces a high performance 7,200 RPM drive with the highest capacity (180 GB) in the world! The Barracuda 180 advances areal densities to more than 15 Gbytes and sustained data rates as high as 47 Mbytes per second. The Barracuda 180 is the latest addition to the award winning Barracuda 7,200-RPM disc drive family. The Barracuda 180, the seveth-generation of the Barracuda family, offers value, performance and flexibility for bulk-storage applications.
($2200.- each only) can I order 4 in a Gurus enclosure? http://macgurus.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Huh, I will put those on my list along with the display Magician found. Maybe I can setup a pair of ATTO UL3D cards and finally have that 4.5 terrrabyte RAID I have been dreaming of. I could run it off of the J700 that MadDog might "Frankenstein" for me and drop in a quad-G4 upgrade after I put it in a Daystar box next to my 13-slot rackmount Magma. But in the meantime, I wil do just fine with the Cheetahs and Cudas I got. On a very serious note, damn, those new Cudas are supposed to be quiet!!!

sure, Ton. If you have the part number handy, we'll check to see if they are actually available in distribution channels. Remember that Seagate, like other companies, often announces new products which don't actually ship for weeks, or months.

if we can get them, we'd be pleased to build you an array.
