No. The 8500 & 8600 were unique in that they used a separate Sixty6 Convolver and 7187 IC Video Encoder. The 7500 does not have it. They are actually 2 chips "missing" from the 7500. If you open your case, you can see the solder pads where they would have soldered in, had the board been an 8500. The 8500 has what is called a discrete second-stream output. Not on the 7500.

I have been around the block quite a few times trying to find all the info I can, and that is the essence of it. If you could find a nice, cheap 8500 mobo, it will drop right in and you can simply swap motherboards in the 7500's case.
