Has anyone heard of work being done to provide drivers for builtin audio and video ports on the beige G3 Power Macs? It's swell that XLR8's InterView product
[http://www.macgurus.com/products/video/interviewx.php], combined with the Miglia Alchemy USB/FW combo PCI card, can provide analog video input capability under OS X. But that equipment will run me a good $200, while I already have perfectly good hardware for the job builtin to the machine and just waiting for a driver.

I keep going back to OS 9 just to do my audio and video processing.

Is there any hope?

Nothing specific I've heard of. And I am sure it's not a priority but seems like someone always figures a way if the technology can be tweaked with a few adjustments.
