I really don't know the answer to this question, as I've really never even thought about it.
But:

quote:
Does anybody know if the Pinnacle Miro DC30 and Miro DC30+ cards work with OS 9. Also, if in fact these video cards work with OS 9, is it possible to capture Quick Time movies whose file sizees exceed the 2 Gig limit of OS 8.6.

Just thought I'd throw this out to you video guru's.
Thanks

Pinnacle Systems' (http://www.pinnaclesys.com/support/display.asp?FileID=359&ProductID=323) current upgrade for these cards indicate that Mac OS 9 is required. This leads me to assume that the cards do indeed work in OS 9! http://macgurus.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That seems OK, but what about the 2GB limit????

yes, OS 9 lifted the 2 gig file limit. I haven't used the DC30, though.

There is no 2 GB file size limit in OS 9, but there is another 2 GB limit that you should be away of. You cannot transfer files through Apple File Sharing that are over 2GB. Just be aware of this, I don't know if it will affect you or not.
