Hello,
I have a 9600 and an iMac on a network, both are running 9.0.

I am getting a disk full error when I try to transfer files (a small folder of 1.2mb) to the 9600.

I have 8Gb of free space 512 mb of ram.

Why would I get a disk full error? http://www.macgurus.com/ubb/confused.gif

What is the most stable OS to upgrade to?

Thanks,
FrozenTundra

Update to 9.1. It's the most stable Mac OS to date (IMHO), the latest you ca use and a free upgrade from 9.0.

Any ideas why I am getting this error ?
Clearly I have gigs of space available.

Yes! 9.0 had very flawed Finder copy routines and rapidly filled the System Heap. Once the space in the System Heap is gone, the computer can do little else but dump the caches and create an error.
