View Full Version : Using ACT 2.8 (What is PowerTalk)

I recently picked up a copy of ACT! 2.8, the last version of ACT! before they stopped supporting the Mac. As ACT! was my very first program for the Mac and since Mac scheduling software has gotten to be in such short supply, I jumped at the chance to try it again.

Are there any folks out there who are experienced in the nuances of ACT! 2.8?

Specifically, how to alter it's E-mail preferences. It says it can use PowerTalk, or Eudora. I think Powertalk came and went. I am using Microsoft Express. Any thoughts on how I can config the ACT! preferences to use MS Express?

Any thoughts on how to use Power talk - or if I can with system 8.6?

Never OS's don't support PowerTalk but I don't remember when it was dropped. Apple's tech pages should answer that.

What are you doing with ACT? If Symantec dumped it then so should you, switch to Now Contact/Now Up-to-Date, which has recently been updated. As to if it links to OE or Entourage, I don?t know. Anybody?
