After upgrading to VPC 4.0 my third party (a Pioneer and a Teac) CD rom players weren't recognized by VPC anymore and would crash VPC trying to load a CD rom.
Although Connectix claims the Intech CD/DVD rom drivers are compatible (FWB CD rom toolkit is not compatible as they say) it didn't work on my system.
I discovered a hacked Apple CD/DVD rom driver which will allow to mount non Apple CD players on the Mac OS (for most 6 speed drives or beyond without the need for CD/DVD Speed Tools or the FWB stuff) and also will let you mount CD's in VPC. If anyone has a need for it I can upload it to the Guruz ftp with their kind permission ofcourse http://macgurus.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Upload away, but please give it a title that will distinguish it from other hacks that are already there. Example: VPC4_CDROM_Hack

InTech released v5.6 today. One of the fixes was for VPC 4.
