This seems like such a simple question but I can't find the answer - it must be starring me in the face. I have a Yamaha CRW8424SX external CD-RW and it came with Toast 4.0.1.1 (not a retail version). I cannot figure out how to rewrite a CD. It is a Rewritable CD, i am sure of that. Do I need some other type of software?

bif,

Toast will do it fine. Just either add files to burn for a multi session or just click on disk info (forget what edit menu it's under) and select erase disk. CD-RW right?

I think your OEM v 4.0.1.1 will update to v 4.1.2.

If you're looking to erase the disc and rewrite a whole new session, you need to launch toast, insert the CD-RW disc, go to the "Recorder" menu, then "DIsc Info" (also just command-I)

This will present you with a box listing the partitions and sizes. At the bottom should be a button to erase. If you're gonna use toast to rewrite, just use quick erase, but if you want to use another app (such as direct cd) then use full and be prepared to wait.

Good luck
