Ok i got from a friend a studio 17in studio display for my G4 450 sawtooth. I have a ATI 8500 in it, and running 10.2.6. I got the DVI to ADC apple adapter for it and it will not work for shit.

Its the egg shape flat screen monitor, see thru case. I have tried the monitor on my DP 1.25 ATI 9000 and screen works fine. I tried it with the DVI to ADC adapter didnt work. So i returned the adapter, for a new one. This one has the same problems. So its a part on my end. I did all the updates for the 450 including ATi updates.

So now i'm at a lose, as where to go next. It just doesn't want to work with this adapter. Any ideas on how to get this working,

Well looks like my G4 450 sawtooth agp model doesn't work with this monitor. I read up on some posts on apple, and talked to a tech at one of the apple stores. Seems that the sawtooth models don't like the adapters and this specific model.

Even with my ATI 9000 pro (from DP1.25) in the G4 450 doesn't work with the monitor. Read somewhere the the mother board on my G4 doesn;t have the specific power for the monitor even with the adapter. Oh well shit happens.

Was worth a try.
