Here's the system:

8500 XLR8 G3 400
320 MB
OS 9.0.4
Voodoo 5-1.1.2 drivers-17" Sylvania TF721
Mobo 4MB VRAM-13" RGB

Bought the Voodoo card last week. Up until now it rocked. UT looks/plays great. System stable & had full-screen visuals in iTunes until today. Now when I choose full-screen in iTunes, my monitor says it's out of freq. range. Tried trashing iTunes prefs, resetting monitor res.etc.Nothing works.I did run the Oni demo last night(cool game & no problems). I figure it's something stupid, but I tend to be somewhat "software challenged". http://macgurus.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Anyone got any suggestions?

TIA

Try changing your frequency of your normal display. iTunes automatically switches down to 640x480 to display full screen. If your monitor can't handle 640x480 at the current frequency, you'll get the screen you're seeing. IE: Your display is set to 1024x768 at 100Hz, iTunes switches to 640x480 at 100Hz. If your display will only handle a maximum of 75Hz at that resolution, you get the message.

Thanks lv

The 17 is my main screen. It's max refresh is 85HZ. In the monitors CP it shows 640x480 100HZ unless I select show all, then it lists refresh down to 60HZ. I normally run at 832x624 75HZ. The only freq. option in the 3Dfx CP is 75HZ. Everything else is OK(games etc.) It worked fine before so I don't understand what happened to iTunes that made it suddenly want an unsupported refresh rate.Tried setting it manually in the CP but no dice. Guess I'll try trashing my monitors prefs./ restarting & see if that appeases iTunes. It's not really a major crisis, I just like to turn on the visuals like a screen saver since I play more music on the Mac than the stereo these days.
