View Full Version : Invisible Folders on WINTEL Burned CD

I just changed jobs and had the sysadmin at work burn an archive of my MP3s. Of course we used Wintel on the job, but I have never had any probs before this with any of the CDs he has burned.

The CD has just one folder on it, that is empty. But when I drag the folder to my hard drive it copys 490megs worht of stuff. The I can choose this folder in iTunes and it brings up all the MP3s. Weird.

How can I make that folder contents visible?

On the CD, you can't. It's not changeable after it's burnt. If you drag the files to your hard drive, are they still invisible? You can change the file info in ResEdit, one at a time. There may be a better way though. I've seend utilities that will turn a batch of files invisible, but not the other way.... Someone else will be along, and maybe they'll have a better suggestion.

The files are still invisible once I drag the folder to the hard drive.

I always forget that for any weird problem like this there is always a shareware solution...stupid me...

Hidded Hunter at shareware.com did the trick. It's a easy tool to use...

File Typer 5.51 is cool too.
