View Full Version : Wallstreet 250 display problem

I've got an old Wallstreet 250/192/4G with a 14.1" display problem. The machine its self runs fine, but the display appears robin's-egg blue. My initial thought was that something in the screen had just bitten the dest, but then I remembered a problem I had with an old Sony monitor in which the cable got bent the wrong way and sent the display no red signal.

The question I have for you is: is this display shot, or is it just likely a loose cable inside the unit? I'd hate to have to shell out big bicks for a new display, but I don't know what to do and I'm not really very comfortable monkeying around inside the 'book.

Thanks so much.

very well could be a cable. The thing is, those cables are delicate flex cables, in a thin ribbon, and they are very subject to trauma. Getting a replacement will be difficult unless you are romantically entangled with an Apple Authorized Technician working in an Apple Service Center, though you may get lucky with www.preowned.com.
