I'm sitting here looking at the innards of a 7300 for the first time in my life. I gutted it last night for cleaning and upgrading.

Would someone paint a word picture of the "door" that can be opened with a screwdriver that will allow a SCSI cable to run from the PCI slot area to the lower HD space?

Louie,

Go here for a discussion http://www.macgurus.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000050.html and magician's note that pix can be sent to you. I wonder if they are on the ftp site now?

Also ChrisYip says:
If you are using a PCI SCSI card, then you will need to remove that back door, as has been covered in a number of threads - big screwdriver and some gentle prodding will pop that door off.

Don't cut your hands. Luck, k

I see what I think may be it, but it looks like it will require lethal force.

Hi..

It's actually quite easy - start with the prongs on the left hand side and at the top. The pivot point is on the right hand side.

You do need a little mild persuasion but it will work...

Chris.

guys...shoot me an e offline and I will attach the pix to a reply.

be advised that there are a few pix, and you might need a MB or two of space in your email in-box. Make sure your local ISP can handle it.
