I have a G3 Lombard (333) and an MCE Transport (not the Pro series) with a 6 GB 2.5 IDE drive in it (I think it's a Hitachi). I can't get the drive to mount in OS X(.1.4) via the PCMCIA card. It mounts in 9.2.1 with no problems.

The card shows up in ASP as

cardbus
Card type: cardbus
Card name: cardbus
Card model: TXN,PCI1210-00
Card ROM $: N/A
Card revision: 0
Card vendor ID: 104c

The drive shows up as
ATADeviceNub
unit: 0
device serial: n/a
device: n/a
device model: "apple symbol"
"apple symbol"

The drive won't show up in Drive Utility.

Any ideas as to how I can mount and use the drive in OS X?

Thanks,

Anthony

What you need is a driver for that PCMCIA card! It looks like it's somewhat working, but it's not sending enough information to the computer to identify the drive attached to it. What you're seeing is the port the card is plugged into (cardbus) and the card itself (ATADeviceNub) but no indication of a driver for that card or a drive attached to it.

Thanks LV, I'll look around their site for an OS X driver.
