I just got a Zip ATA drive from a friend who wanted to get rid of it (PC user). I have a PTP 200 with a sonnet Tempo ATA card and a 20 gig drive on one channel. I am wondering if there is any hope of getting the ZIp to work on the Sonnet card.

I have tried Iomega's drivers and nothing seems to recognize the Zip, though it is powered and configured as a master on the second channel of the Tempo. I realize that the ZIp was intended for mlb's with onboard ATA controllers, but for the price it would be really nice...

Any thoughts?

it's odd...but no source for IDE PCI cards will certify them for use with removable media drives. At least, not as far as I am aware.

I guess you could try SpeedTools, but it is probably something lower level, and no driver may work, unfortunately.
