Hi all, this is my first post here, but i guess not the last one I don't have a mac yet (used to, but been stuck with win2000 for a while) but hopefully soon...
I'm about to get a pretty good deal on a 9600/233 with an apple 21'' display (the older one) and probably a personal laser writer 320 printer.
I know its not high end, but will do for the use I intend to give to it.
first of all, if any one has an opinion on any of these Items please let me know.
secondly, part of the deal of getting that mac is that my brother will get to keep the monitor, but he has to use a PC at work, is there any way that monitor will work on a windows machine????
well, thank you all for your time, it looks like this is a great place for a newbie like me.

First of all, congratulations! You are aquiring one of the best macs ever built by Apple. The case design is a pleasure for upgrading and for heat transfer/cooling. Six PCI slots offer the most expandability you can find in a stock Apple machine. If you hang around this board, you won't be able to resist the temptation to upgrade and expand.

The Apple monitor will need an adapter to work with a PC. Check www.griffintechnology.com (http://www.griffintechnology.com) for the MacConnect adapter (part # 0262-PCM).
